Where will I stay?
You will be based at Vivekananda Memorial Hospital, Saragur (Located just outside Saragur town, about 60 km from Mysore). You will be given simple living quarters (separate for gents and ladies) on a twin-sharing basis. The rooms contain an attached bath with western toilet, beds with mattresses and mosquito nets. South Indian vegetarian food is served in the canteen or at other suitable places when taken on field trips. UV-treated water is available at select points. Smoking and consumption of alcohol are banned in all campuses of SVYM.
For the week in Mysore, students will stay at the award winning Green Hotel. Accommodation will be on a double occupancy basis. Of course, room sharing will only be possible where there are two females or two males. We do not expect, nor encourage, room sharing with the opposite sex.
