What will I Learn?
Elective students will spend time in the 20 bedded dental surgery unit, on the campus and visit the village Nodal Centres where the intern will treat and observe patients. At the CIDS campus you will take part in daily ward rounds, outpatient clinics, case presentation and seminars; all in small groups.
The hospital is affiliated to the 250 bed Hospital at Virajpet and 60 bed Rural India Health Project at Ammathi. It covers all dental specialities:
Oral Medicine & Radiology, Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Oral Pathology, Community Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Conservative and Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pedodontics, Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry.
You will see a wide range of interesting cases like Herpes, Anug, Cancrumcris (infectious diseases), Hereditary disorders, Fracture, Cancer and Tumour cases.
