Working Holidays Abroad

Where will I stay?

In Gudalur, students will be accommodated in simply furnished houses. The houses have bedroom, sitting rooms, simple kitchen and bathroom with lavatory. Rooms may be shared. All bedding, towels etc. will be provided.

Food can be prepared in the house, but main meals are provided in the staff 'mess' hall!

Food is largely vegetarian, with lentils, rice, yoghurt and fresh vegetables as the main ingredients. Fresh fruit is plentiful (bananas, oranges, coconuts, pineapple and seasonally, mangoes, grapes, papaya and apples) and Cadbury's (India made) chocolate is widely available. A huge range of vegetables are easily found (tomatoes, onions, potatoes, greens, cauliflowers, cucumbers etc etc.)

Bottled water is available for those who do not want to bother boiling water.

For the week in Mysore, students will stay at the award winning Green Hotel. Accommodation will be on a double occupancy basis. Of course, room sharing will only be possible where there are two females or two males. We do not expect, nor encourage, room sharing with the opposite sex.
